We recently photograph the wedding of Ed & Jean – The wedding took place in Boyd Baker House. We photographed the portraits with the Hasselblad Digital Medium Format camera and lit the the room with Elinchrom and Broncolor battery powered flash lighting.

The Melbourne Wedding’s Ivan Lee recently completed a fashion editorial photo shoot for the 1st issue of Seven Seven Magazine featuring up and coming Australian Fashion Designers.
Ivan created a set in his West Melbourne Photography Studio following the brief of Art Director and Stylist Lousia Para from Seven Seven.
Final images will be published on Seven Seven’s online magazine in their debut October issue.

Apart from wedding photography David is an accomplished fashion photographer and one of his clients is Nicolangela- One of Australia’s top fashion labels. Nicolangela specialise in wedding dresses, bridesmaid, evening and formal dresses.
Images were captured with the Hasselblad H3D2-39 Digital Medium Format Camera, on a tripod, shutter speed was 1/4 – 1/8th of a second all day and everything turned out sharp. Mirror lock routine worked a treat.

For their wedding day Thanh and Ivan wanted it to be photographed on negative film. Images were captured with the Hasselblad 500 series camera- a 6cmx6cm square format camera. David is a film camera collector and photographer and at the melbourne wedding we have a high end film scanner- The legendary Imacon Flextight scanner.

For our first wedding of the year David & Ivan photographed a few portraits of the couple with their new purchase – Hasselblad H2D medium format digital camera.
Image quality from this camera exceeds any digital SLRs used by most wedding photographers today. It has greater tonal range less noise in the blacks. The camera is mainly used by advertising photographers for high end advertising campaigns. The image below is a RAW camera file processed through Hasselblad’s Phocus software with no photoshop retouching.
